Job Title: Programmer - Jacksonville, FL

Department:  Programming - Jacksonville, Florida

Reports to:  Jacksonville Programming Manager

Summary:  A level one programmer is responsible for coding and testing changes on existing and new programs.  Day-to-day interaction with employees from other departments within the company is required.  This contact will normally be to resolve questions about product definition, client file structure, client contractual requirements, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance of existing programs and scripts.
  • Develop new program scripts.
  • Work on large-scale development of special programs or enhancements.
  • The person in this position will be requested to perform other duties as assigned.  Regular and appropriate attendance is required in this position as it is in all positions at NCP.

Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems or training in the programming languages used.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.  Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  This employee spends a portion of the workday in verbal communications.  The employee may be seated at a workstation for long periods of time, but is required to walk and stand frequently.

Work EnvironmentGeneral office and production environments are climate controlled.  The noise level in the office environment is usually quiet.  While testing print programs in the plant the employee is exposed to production noise levels for short periods of time.  When working in the plant area, you will be expected to comply with all safety regulations/policies that apply to that area.

8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday; Overtime as needed, most probable during the month of January.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician I and II

Department: Production Departments

Reports To: Department Manager and/or Vice President Manufacturing/Operations

Summary: Functions as primary, first level, support person for major procedures involving complex scheduled and unscheduled corrective maintenance on assigned equipment in accordance with manufacturers specifications and recommendations.  Two or more years electrical experience; electronic mechanical is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs maintenance training for all maintenance personnel on all assigned equipment.  This includes but is not limited to: theory of operation, problem analysis and troubleshooting skills; timing and adjustment procedures; parts and subassembly removal and replacement procedures; effective preventive maintenance procedures; administrative procedures and call escalation procedures.
  • Spot-checks and inspects effectiveness of preventive maintenance routines and provides coaching to junior personnel to improve and enhance their skills.
  • Makes written recommendations for PM procedure improvements to Supervisor.  Assists Supervisor in inventory management.
  • Makes written recommendations for spare parts stocking levels and adjustments.
  • Frequently checks with manufacturing personnel and supervisors to ensure that difficulties they may be encountering are timely resolved whether involving equipment, stock problems or training.
  • May perform major, complex preventive maintenance procedures on some equipment as assigned.
  • Schedules and completes major corrective and complex preventive maintenance procedures on assigned equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and recommendations.
  • Ensures unscheduled corrective maintenance requests are responded to and corrected in a timely manner, including personally responding to service requests when other technicians are not available.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc) including e-mail.
  • Overtime as needed and required.
  • Regular and appropriate attendance is expected in this and all other positions at NCP.

Level II: Minimum 5-7 years experience in technical maintenance in an operations/manufacturing environment. Certifications and licenses preferred for Level II positions.

Job Title: Web Press Trainee Technician - Birmingham Headquarters

SUMMARY: To Produce Quality Printed Materials by Maintaining or Repairing Machinery to Achieve Maximum Speed with Minimum Downtime.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·           Meet requirements below & work with others to improve operations.

·           Must be able to read and measure with a ruler to 1/64”.

·           Physically able to handle and package up to 300 boxes per shift, with weights of 25 to 60 lbs.

·           Be able to recognize and adjust color variation.

·           Must be able to see size variation.

·           Overtime as needed

·           Preventative maintenance duties

·           Trouble shooting and basic equipment repairs

·           Equipment modification and improvements

·           Regular and appropriate attendance is an essential function of this and all positions at NCP.

Trainee:

Entry level position. Requires some mechanical and printing experience or ability. Trainee will need help from a trainer for a period up to 1 month to be able to read and understand job ticket, find files, complete all appropriate paperwork and learn various computer systems for job status, inventory and completion data.  Hang rolls, box stock, web press, and keep work area clean. By the 2nd month- must be able to complete all of the above without assistance. Be able to bend and hang plates, wash-up ink units, set ink fountain, perfs, slitters and lineholes to job specification. Register all print and perf units with little or no assistance. By the 3rd month- perform all of the above with little or no help of trainers. Be able to change folder, sheeter and inserts, perform all preventive maintenance on press, folder and sheeter. Must complete full set-up of press and reach minimum performance of production standards prior to first 90 days; meet minimum performance and production standards within the first 3 to 6 month; improve minimum performance of production standards by 12% within 6 to 12 months.

Job Title: Print Operator

NCP Solutions is a Birmingham-based provider of print solutions for financial institutions and other businesses that require dissemination of critical, time sensitive and confidential information.  This includes documents such as statements, coupon books and direct mail communications.

Print operators are responsible for running high-speed laser printers efficiently and accurately to meet production and quality standards. Candidates must exhibit a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Candidate must also possess a workable knowledge of two of the following types of printers in Print Ops:

  • Xerox 4635
  • Siemens 2240
  • DocuPrint 18
  • Oce

Requirements are a high school diploma or GED, PC skills, and three to six months related experience preferably in related field or with print operations.
